Flowers

Cold weather and the first frost of the year have already arrived. So far the flowers have survived. I planted dahlias for the first time this year. The pictures are of the last two blooms, I also have mums. They brightens up any fall.

All of these pictures were taken in and around my neighborhood in Bella Vista, AR. The color this year is outstanding and is at a peak this week.

The English Tea Room

Several of us traveled to Siloam Springs yesterday to eat at The English Tea Room. The owners are an English couple who visited Siloam Springs, loved it, and decided to relocate. They opened the English Tea Room several months ago. The atmosphere was relaxed and the food very good. If you are in the area stop by. They are open 7 days a week. The English Tea Room is located at 210 W. University St. in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. The waitress took the picture of the six of us.

Craft Fair Weekend

Spanker Creek Arts and Craft Fair

Spanker Creek started three years ago making it the one of the newest in the area. This is the only Craft Fair where I carried a camera. You can see the setting with the beginning of Fall colors, some of the booths, the inside of the tents, three sister from Indiana wearing identical shirts (they come every year), the mountain band playing old tunes and the chain saw artist starting a new sculpture.

Fall in the Ozarks

One of the first signs of Fall showed up in my fountain last week. On good years we have the full range of colors here; red, orange, russet, and yellow. This promises to be a very good year for color.

Bees at the Denver Botanical Gardens

The bees were very busy the day I visited the Denver Botanical Gardens. I have found it difficult to get good photos of the bees on flowers. Here are some of the few I got. See if you can find the bees. Double click on the photos to get a full screen view.

Mushrooms at Land Between the Lakes

I love to find small things in nature to photograph. On a nature trail near the campground at Land Between the Lakes I found a wealth of mushrooms. Here are some of the pictures.
