Day Trip July 2012

I took a day trip last Tuesday and re-visited some places and went to one new place.  Here are some of the photos.

This is a view of the Ozarks from a scenic pull out on Arkansas Highway  7. 

This the the Buffalo at Ponca.  The last time I saw this the water was up to the bridge.  We are in a drought and water everwhere is los.

View of the Buffalo in the other direct.  I wanted to wade but the river was so low the water was not deep enough.

I had never been to Lost Valley (which according to the National Park Service is neither lost or a valley.  The path follows a stream but as you can see it was dry.

Art Trail, Crystal Bridges Museum

It took me awhile but I finally walked the Art Trail at Crystal Bridges.  The trail starts at Compton Gardens.  There are large bronze figures along the trail.  I took pictures of all four and added a picture of the little court that is just before you get to the Museum.  It is very hot here so I went early in the morning.  The trails were open but the Museum was not.

The bear is fishing by the little stream that feeds the pond at the Museum.

This is Arkansas so there had to be a hog.  I'm not sure it is a Razorback though.
