Richards Bay, South Africa
Richards Bay is our second stop in Africa. This is the first stop where it has rained all day. Our travel guide Barbara said that there was not much to see here and it seems she was right. This was mostly a jumping off place for several of the overnight tours. There is a shuttle and I took it. We were dropped off at a shopping center in town. I can tell you that shopping centers are the same whether they are in Fayetteville, AR, Denver, CO, Hong Kong, Manila, Lima, Peru or Richards Bay South Africa. Once you get in you could be anywhere in the world. The rain did ruin one thing. We had vendors show up. They only had plastic to spread on the ground to show their wares and the rain has really ruined their chance to make some extra money. We will be in Durban tomorrow so will see what the weather will be there. The Captain has warned us that we will have rough seas leaving and to put up things that can shift in our cabins. No photos today.
